I’ve been wanting to make turkey burgers for quite some time now but I’ve always thought of them tasting dry and bland. Well, despite my preconceived idea of turkey burgers, I went in search of a recipe to prove myself wrong. And I completely did!! These burgers changed every perception I’ve had about turkey burgers. I mean the name says it all, they ACTUALLY are delicious!! Very moist and full of flavor and even reminiscent of a beef burger. I am telling the honest truth, I promise!! I even used ground lean turkey breast and they were still moist!! These are a great way to eat a healthier burger and to try something different at the same time.

Makes 4 Burgers
1 1/4 to 1 1/2 lbs. ground turkey (works with ground turkey breast too)
1/8 cup seasoned panko bread crumbs
1/8 cup finely minced onion
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/8 cup chopped fresh italian flat leaf parsley
1/2 clove garlic
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
1 1/2 tbsp. worcestershire sauce
In a large bowl, add all ingredients. Using your hands, lightly mix together until ingredients are distributed evenly. Divide meat into four sections for large burgers, or 5-6 for slightly smaller burgers. Roll each section into a ball and pack tightly. Pat down and form into a hamburger patty. Repeat for remaining sections.
Either grill the burgers or cook them on the stovetop over medium low heat. Flip every 2 to 3 minutes until cooked through or until they reach an internal temperature of 180 degrees. (Should take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to cook). Make sure you don’t press down on the burgers with the spatula so the juices don’t run out.
