So I have to say, I found the majority of this recipe online. I just added a few things here and there. However, every time I make it, my husband is usually bombarded at his work to share and then we (I) get requests for more. Even the guy who is allergic to milk will make sure to take his medicine if he knows my husband is bringing them in, so hopefully you'll enjoy them as well!
Ingredients:
Mix all ingredients except oats, chocolate and caramel chips into bowl. After you add oats, you will have to mix by hand. And by hand I mean get your hands in there and full of dough by kneading it. Add the oats and mix. Now for the goodies. I like to use Nestle's mini chocolate chips. Pour about a fourth of the bag in there and knead using your hands. Add more chocolate chips as you see fit. Take the caramel chips and add about a third of the bag. Knead into mix, adding more as you see fit.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Take a cookie sheet and cover with parchment paper. Take a small amount (maybe a tablespoons worth) and roll into a ball. Pat it down so it's a little flat. Arrange on cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Let cool and enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (I usually do 2 teaspoons and I prefer REAL vanilla extract. If you're nowhere near the Border of Mexico and can't find Mexican vanilla, Watkins has good stuff and it's available at Wal Mart)
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 3 cups oats
- 1 bag Chocolate chips
- 1 bag caramel chips
