About Me:
I am 25 years old and I live in Washington, DC. I am a proud Army fiancé. I am originally from Columbus, Ohio. I went to college at James Madison University in VA where I got my BA in Political Science.
I live with two of my sorority sisters from college and work for a social media marketing firm in DC. |
I love college football, country music, and scary movies. I wish I could spend my whole life on the beach. My friends are my family, but my Mom, Dad and younger brother are also an amazing support system. I want a puppy... now... but I don't have enough time to take care of one, or so I am told (he's right, he's right). When I'm not working, you can find me at the movies or out to dinner with friends. I love food and cooking anything and everything I see in Food and Wine, although I"m not always successful.. I'm incredibly stubborn and independent, and I'm not afraid to tell people how I feel. However, I don't tolerate disrespect, especially when it comes to those I love.

My S/O and I
Ryan and I met through mutual friends. His best friend from high school was one of my best guy friends in college, and is dating one of my current roommates. We started talking everyday while he was back in Virginia and I was in Ohio. My family took a vacation to the Outer Banks while he was down there with his friends, and the rest is history. He left for OSUT a few months after we started dating, and I wrote him a letter every day he was gone. That was easily the most difficult few months of my life, but it made me so much stronger as a person and made us stronger as a couple. Now we're engaged and he's deployed and I'm wedding planning! Deployment sucks, but that's what I have all of you lovely ladies for.
How I came to OSBYM
I found OSBYM when Ryan was at OSUT because I felt lost. None of my friends knew what I was going through, and I couldn't expect them to understand. There was so much going on that I didn't understand, and I had no idea who to turn to. This page kept me SANE while he was gone, and I am looking forward to being supportive for all of you, as you were there for me when I need y'all. Now that he'd deployed, I find myself needing the support even more (if that's at all possible).
