About Me:
Name: Steve
Age: 39 going on 21
Current Location: Fort Lee, VA
Hi, My name is Steve and I am a proud Army Wife. In fact, I have been Mr. Army Wife since 2005. Heather and I were married in 2000. We both joined the Army in 2001, and after my first enlistment we decided to try this lifestyle. Heather became an officer and I became her biggest support. It is the only purpose I have felt 100% made for and I love it.
Heather and I met in college at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. This was way back in 1992 before some of you were even born. We didn't have a great relationship way back then and were more acquaintances than anything else. It took several years of persistence, but finally in 1998 she agreed to go to dinner and on June 9, 2000 we got married.
Our Army Career began in May 2001. We did Basic Training at Fort Jackson, SC. AIT took place at Fort Meade, MD. They we went to Korea for 3 1/2 years. During that time I was a broadcast journalist which meant I was a television news reporter and a radio dj. Fun times.
Other duty stations for Heather after I got out of the Army include, Fort Story, VA, Fort Riley, KS and the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL. 6 miles from the beach in Florida wasn't a bad gig.
I have several hobbies including writing, watching TV, golfing and running. In 2011 I completed my first 1/2 marathon and have done several since. I am still debating running a full marathon in 2014, but my mind is a mix of emotions about that idea.

Operation: Stand By Your Man Gets their Man!
I first found the OSBYM Facebook page a few months ago when I was looking for people at Fort Lee, VA. Heather and I were getting ready to move and I knew very few people compared to other places. When I started reading some of the thoughts, concerns and questions that folks had, I knew I could help, but I didn't want to be the pushy guy that thinks he knows everything. For this reason I sat back and offered a little advice when I though it was beneficial.
Then came the opportunity to write the Guest Blog of the Week. As a writer, I am always thinking of something to say, but never really got the audience. I am super thankful that the ladies believed I had something valuable to say. I tried to be honest and give a fair male assessment of living in this female driven world. I hope I can do the same for all of you.
I am anxious to see what kind of questions you have for me. There is nothing that will embarrass me. Please ask me it all.
